Here are Brenda and Charles with Toby after he earned his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification. Just two weeks later, Toby achieved his Therapy Dog certification as well. Toby was one of the youngest dogs I have trained for therapy work, beginning his training at only eight months old with no prior experience. Brenda and Charles worked with him daily, and he was certified shortly after turning one year old. They now volunteer together at a local community center in a variety of programs, bringing joy and support to the people they meet.
Here are Cheryl and Tom with Maggie after she earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification. Just two weeks later, Maggie went on to earn her Therapy Dog certification as well. Congratulations to Cheryl, Tom, and Maggie on these accomplishments and the dedication they’ve shown throughout their training.
Here are JoAnn and Poppy, who earned their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and Therapy Dog Certifications with the Pavilion Crew. Poppy was a former show dog, and her brother Monty won Best in Show at Westminster this year. At 81 years young, JoAnn is still dedicated to training her dogs, which is truly impressive. As a retired reading teacher, JoAnn now hopes to volunteer in local schools with Poppy, sharing her passion for learning and dogs with students.
Here I am with Finn, my Hickory Ridge pup from Charlotte’s November litter. Finn earned his STAR Puppy certification at just six months old. I’m proud of his progress and excited to see how he continues to grow and learn.
This is Kate, the Superintendent of Pavilion CSD, with her dog Cocoa. They earned their CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certification here, and just two weeks later, achieved their Therapy Dog certification as well. Kate is one of the few superintendents with a certified Therapy Dog working in their district. Congratulations to Kate and Cocoa on these accomplishments and for bringing this valuable support to their school community.

This is Jill and Lola. They earned their CGC and Therapy Dog Certifications. Jill is a Physician at Rochester Regional Hospital. She supervises Residents and will bring Lola to work with her to interact with patients and provide love and support to the Residents and Medical Students.
This is Olivia and Cooper. Cooper is a Hickory Ridge puppy who has earned his STAR Puppy, CGC (Canine Good Citizen), and Therapy Dog certifications. Together, Olivia and Cooper will be volunteering in the Greater Rochester community, putting their training to good use. Congratulations to both of them on these achievements and their commitment to helping others.
