I had the pleasure of working with Maple and her family as she developed into a calm, confident therapy dog. Through her training, Maple gained the skills needed to thrive in a busy school environment, where she now provides comfort and support to students across the Bloomfield Central School District.
Her story was recently featured by the district, highlighting the positive impact she continues to have within the school community.
Christine and Maple earned their Canine Good Citizen in August and their Therapy Dog Certification in September, 2025. Christine is an ENL Teacher working with ENL students and students with special needs at Bloomfield Central School District. She is also continuing her work with Maple to prepare for the Public Access Test so Maple will become a Service Dog for her daughter. They are a terrific handling team!
