Erika and Scout: Bringing Joy Through Therapy Dog Certification

Here are Erika and Scout. They passed the Canine Good Citizen Test in August and the Therapy Certification in September 2025. Erika is a Special Education Teacher at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES. She works with students to help them achieve their goals in and out of the classroom. Scout visits with students at school and assists them throughout their day.

Erika and Scout also make weekly visits to a local assisted living facility, Clark Meadows. The residents love Scout, who is so friendly and sweet and brings joy to everyone he meets! Erika and Scout are a fantastic handling team!
