As a life-long lover of Labradors and a Labrador owner since 1989, I always went to training classes with our family pups. I believe training is integral to the overall health of a dog and an important part of their life. A well-trained dog is typically a happy, confident, secure dog, who is a joy to have in your home. A well-trained dog is easy to take with you on family outings and vacations.

After thirty-seven years as a public educator, I decided I wanted to become a dog trainer and breeder. The dream began in 2017. Although our plans slowed in 2020 with the pandemic, I earned my Professional Dog Training Certificate after a year-long program and a three-month internship. I completed my training program in the summer of 2022 and have been training since then.

You are here because you are looking for training for your pup. Our love of dogs and interest in their well-being and happiness is our “why” which sets us apart from other trainers. It truly is, "A Work of Heart" for us. Our family's Labrador Retrievers are healthy, happy, certified therapy dogs, have their Therapy, Canine Good Citizen and STAR puppy certifications and have been raised working with children and other dogs. Our Labs are members of our family. It is important to us that our dogs are well-behaved, love having company, and are able to go on trips with us. We will work with you in training to ensure that each dog is one that we would welcome into our own family and want for our own pet.

We will work with you every step of the way in your training journey. Whether your dog has no formal training, or their Canine Good Citizen Certification, we will consult with you to determine your training goals and the best path for you and your pup to attain those goals. After all, training is a big commitment of your time and one we don’t take lightly. We want you to be thrilled with your pup as they continue on their journey to become a long-time member of your family.
